About the Job:

The selected person will be responsible for providing direct support to Broadcast customers and the internal sales team. He should have hands-on experience with Broadcast Technologies, IP Networking, Video Streaming, Encoding, Servers, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The prime responsibility will be, to install/configure/troubleshoot, and support customer systems in complex Broadcast IT setups.
  • Work independently on customer systems, must be capable of quickly analyzing reported issues, and act promptly for quick resolution or escalate to superiors.
  • Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Receive support calls from customers, capture complete information about the issue, and work to resolve or escalate the issue/complaint.
  • The engineer must be committed to delivering technical support within time-sensitive environments for live TV broadcast sites and time-critical applications, The engineer should quickly troubleshoot and diagnose issues over the phone, remote/onsite, / email for the systems presented to him.
  • Must clearly communicate about the issue with customers and senior team members, regularly update complete details and developments of the case.
  • Providing all technical support for Pre/Post- Production and Live Coverages
  • Maintenance of AV Equipment
  • Identifying, analyzing and rectifying technical faults in equipment and systems.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience in coordinating live and recorded broadcasts, including scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of all broadcast systems.
  • Knowledge about Broadcast Systems, Networking, IT Servers, Storages & Troubleshooting is required.
  • Individuals with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in the broadcast industry, with a focus on Broadcast IT systems and equipment.
  • Proficiency in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Broadcast IT systems and equipment is a must.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring seamless broadcasting.
  • Candidates should have hands-on experience with Video Editing systems, Graphics Systems, Television Workflow, Transmission chain, and PCR-Studio workflow.
  • Knowledge of Video Standards and Formats is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Ingest, Contribution links, and related operations/technology.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to create system diagrams and standard operating procedures.
  • Good understanding of Transmission Compression chain (Encoders / Decoders) and Video Streaming services.
  • Should have good communication skills.
